Put lights up once. Or once a year.

Permanent track that lives under your roofline all year, or a seasonal display we install in the fall and take down in January.

Two ways to do it

The ladder comes out once, or every November.

Permanent lighting is a slim track fitted under the roofline and left there. You cannot really see it in daylight. From your phone you get warm white for everyday, team colours on a Saturday, orange at Halloween and full red and green in December, without anyone going up a ladder again.

Seasonal is the traditional route. We design it, install it in the fall, keep it running through the season and take it down in January. Cheaper to start, and it comes down when the season ends.

Either way the install is the part that matters. Clips only, never staples through your fascia, lines run straight along the roofline and secured to survive an Ontario wind. People fall doing this every December. Frozen gutters, an icy ladder, one reach too far.

Bright-Side is family run, so the person who quotes your job is the person who does it.

Home lit with professionally installed Christmas lights
  • Permanent track Fitted once, invisible by day, any colour by night.
  • Seasonal installs Designed, installed, maintained and taken down.
  • Season-long maintenance A dark section gets sorted at no extra charge.
  • Insured work Which matters more at roof height in December than any other time.

Pricing

What changes the price.

Lighting is priced on how much roofline you want lit and how high it is.

  • Length of roofline The main driver on almost every quote.
  • Height and pitch Second-storey peaks take longer and need more care.
  • Trees and railings Wrapping is priced separately from roof runs.
  • Your lights or ours We install what you own, or supply commercial-grade LEDs.
  • Design complexity Simple straight runs cost less than a full display.
  • Permanent or seasonal Permanent costs more up front and nothing after. Seasonal is cheaper to start and recurs every year.
  • Repeat customers Second season is cheaper, since the measuring is done.

Good to know

Questions we get asked.

What is permanent lighting?

A slim aluminium track fitted under the roofline with individually addressable LEDs in it. In daylight it reads as trim. At night it does warm white, single colours, or a full display, set from an app on your phone.

Is it worth it over seasonal?

If you put lights up most years it usually pays for itself. There is no annual install, nothing to store, and it gets used at Halloween, Canada Day and every birthday rather than six weeks in December.

When should I book seasonal?

October and early November fill up first. Lights can go up unlit well before the season and get switched on whenever you like.

Do you supply the lights?

Either way works. We install what you have, or quote commercial-grade LEDs that look sharper and last for years.

What if a section goes dark?

Call us and we come fix it. Maintenance is part of the price.

When do they come down?

January, weather permitting, and we store them ready for next year.

Do you do businesses?

Yes, and storefronts are some of our favourite installs. Permanent track is popular commercially because it covers every holiday in the year.

Is it safe for my roof?

Yes. Clips only, and never staples or nails through fascia and shingles.

Try it on

See it lit before you buy it.

Pick what gets lit and what it looks like, then drag the slider from afternoon through to night. Permanent track does every one of these looks from your phone. Seasonal does whichever one you pick in October.
