These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Brightside Home Services, including window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and other exterior cleaning services. By booking a service, accepting a quote, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Offered

Brightside Home Services provides professional exterior cleaning services to residential and commercial properties. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Window cleaning

  • Gutter cleaning

  • Pressure washing

  • House washing

  • Eavestrough clearing

  • Additional exterior detailing as agreed

2. Quotes & Estimates

  • All quotes are based on the information provided by the client (size, condition, accessibility, etc.).

  • Quotes are subject to change if the scope of work is found to differ upon arrival.

  • Any changes to pricing will be communicated and require client approval before work continues.

3. Booking & Scheduling

  • Service appointments are scheduled based on availability and weather conditions.

  • Clients will receive a confirmation via phone, text, or email.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to unsafe conditions (e.g., rain, wind, ice) or equipment issues.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure we have safe, unobstructed access to the property and water supply (if needed).

  • Secure pets and inform us of any hazards on the property.

  • Notify us in advance of any delicate areas, leaks, or pre-existing damage.

  • Commercial clients must provide any necessary access arrangements or site contacts in advance.

5. Payment Terms

  • Residential clients: Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Commercial clients: Invoicing terms are typically Net 15 or Net 30, as agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods: e-transfer, credit/debit, cash, cheque, or online invoice.

  • Overdue payments may incur late fees or suspension of future service.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in a $50 fee to cover time and travel.

  • We will notify you promptly if we need to reschedule due to weather or safety.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

  • If you're not satisfied, let us know within 48 hours and we will return to make it right—free of charge.

  • We do not guarantee the removal of permanent stains, oxidation, or damage to deteriorated surfaces.

8. Damage & Liability

  • Brightside Home Services is fully insured with liability coverage.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage or issues resulting from poor building condition, fragile fixtures, or improper installations (e.g., loose gutters, old caulking, oxidized siding).

  • Any accidental damage caused during service will be reported and addressed appropriately.

9. Weather & Safety

  • We do not perform services during heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, or freezing temperatures.

  • Ladders will not be set on unsafe ground or near electrical hazards.

  • Safety of our technicians is a priority, and we reserve the right to postpone or cancel service for safety reasons.

10. Use of Photos & Media

  • With your consent, we may take before/after photos of completed work for quality assurance or marketing.

  • We will never show house numbers, license plates, or personal identifying features without permission.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Ontario law.
